As part of its regular activities, Renard IP does not intend to collect and process personal data, our services being mainly provided for the benefit of legal entities.

However, we have put in place all the procedures and technical means necessary to process personal data that we may incidentally collect in compliance with Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as amended relating to the data processing, files and freedoms (“Data Protection Act”) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of data of a personal nature and the free movement of this data (“GDPR”).

The principles that Renard IP implements to guarantee compliance with obligations relating to personal data are as follows:

The nature of personal data that we may collect

Personal data is data that may be necessary to communicate with our customers, suppliers or other contacts (title, surname, first name, position, e-mail).

We collect certain personal data as part of the business relationships you maintain with Renard IP and which may be necessary for the performance of the acts you entrust to us (postal address, bank account, date of employment, civil status data).

This may also be data that you provide to us voluntarily, for example necessary to communicate with you by email or other channels, to subscribe to newsletters or to register for events and training courses that we organize.

How do we use your personal data?

Renard IP uses personal data as part of the commercial relationship with our customers and suppliers, to fill in our databases in which the files you entrust to us are managed.

We do not sell or make your personal data available to third parties. Only the data required by applicable regulations and strictly necessary for the accomplishment of the acts that you entrust to us may be transmitted to foreign Associates intervening as your agents in foreign procedures and/or to the intellectual property offices with which we intervene on your behalf.

Depending on the legal basis of the processing (see below), your personal data are kept, for the duration of our commercial relations, the applicable regulations or until the possible exercise of the right of erasure of the person concerned.

In all cases, the data deleted from our processing databases are then kept as evidence in secure archives for the applicable legal limitation periods.

The legal basis for processing your personal data

In the context of our commercial relations, the legal basis for the processing lies in the contract and/or mandate which binds us to our customers and suppliers.

The legal basis for processing relating to data collected in the context of acts carried out with offices lies in the legal requirements attached to the performance of these acts for which our clients have given us instructions.

The legal basis for processing relating to data collected from other contacts lies in our legitimate interests in soliciting business relationships and communicating about our activities, from people who have voluntarily communicated to us information necessary for these solicitations or appearing as a contact person of the legal entity that Renard IP wishes to contact.

Measures to ensure the security of your personal data

We employ appropriate technical and organizational measures to guarantee the protection and integrity of your personal data. These technical and organizational measures are subject to regular updates.

Your rights

During the period of retention of personal data, you have the right to ask Renard IP to have access to these data, to rectify them, to request their erasure, to oppose their processing or to limit them, to receive said personal data in a structured format in order to transmit them to another data controller (data portability).
